Robert A. Eckert will Retire in the Next month

Nov. 22, 2011, Robert A. Eckert, the CEO of Mattel Inc, the largest toys manufacturer in the U.S., said on Monday that he would officially retire on 31 December in this year. At that time, Bryan G. Stockton, now the COO of Mattel would take over his duties.

After retiring from CEO, Eckert who is 57 year old will continue to hold the post of chief executive. 58-year-old Stockton will take over as Chief Executive Officer in January 1, 2012 and join the Mattel board of directors in the same day. When joined in Mattel at 2000, Robert A. Eckert has worked in Mattel for nearly 11 years.

Last year, Bryan G. Stockton became the COO of Mattel and took charge the daily operations in Mattel and Fisher-Price. When joined in Mattel at 2000, he held the post of business planning department executive vice-president and development department executive vice-president. In 2007, he became the president of international business.
